Ewing Graphics is a commercial graphics house on Loomis Road in Farmington, south of Rochester, running the whole pipeline in-house: design, print, and installation of vehicle graphics, fleet and trailer wraps, signs, banners and nameplates. Its client list reads like a who's-who of regional operators, among them Wegmans, the county sheriff and a bus manufacturer, the kind of roster a business earns by being reliable at scale rather than clever once. The work that sets a shop like this apart from a car-wrap studio is the trailer. A 53-foot box trailer is the largest moving billboard most companies will ever own, seen by more people in a week on the interstate than a storefront sign is in a year, and wrapping one is a production problem as much as a design one: the artwork has to hold up at highway distance, survive years of road spray and sun, and be applied flat and seam-right across corrugated aluminium that fights the film. Getting that right at fleet volume, a dozen trailers cycled through without pulling a company's whole operation off the road at once, is the real service. Beyond the rolling stock the shop prints and hangs interior and building signage, so a company opening a new location can brand the storefront, the entrance and the vans in the lot from a single set of artwork files. Because design, printing and installation all happen under one roof, a brand stays consistent from the business card to the box truck, the same colors and artwork carried across every surface, which stops being achievable the moment three separate vendors are involved.
